Two people, one shop, and a lot of boxes.
Red Summit Liquidation is a small, locally owned business in Phoenix, Arizona. We're not a chain and not a drop-shipper. When you buy something from us, one of us personally opened it, tested it, and cleaned it first.
Our story
Why we started doing this
We got into liquidation the way most people do, by buying a pallet to see what was in it. What we noticed pretty quickly is that plenty of sellers buy a pallet, photograph whatever's on top, and push it out the door without ever plugging anything in. The buyer ends up being the one who finds out.
So we check things first. Every pallet gets broken down, everything gets opened and plugged in, wiped down, and given an honest condition before it's photographed. Some of it doesn't make the cut and doesn't get listed.
It's slower and we list fewer things than we could. But when somebody asks whether something actually works, we can answer because we checked.
Who you're dealing with
Red Summit is run by two people. James Seegmiller handles sourcing, pricing, and customer communication, so if you message us you're talking to a person, not a queue. His business partner runs intake, testing, and repair. Between the two of us, every item that leaves the shop has been through our hands personally.
We work out of a warehouse unit near Elliott Road and I-10 in south Phoenix, and we sell primarily through Facebook and Facebook Marketplace.
How we work
What we hold ourselves to
Nothing dramatic, just how we'd want to be dealt with ourselves.
- The photos are the actual item. Never a stock image, never a photo of a different unit that looked better.
- We point out the flaws. Scratches, dents, missing manuals, a box that's been opened and retaped. If we spotted it, it's in the listing.
- Nothing gets relisted as new once it's been opened. An open-box item is an open-box item, even when it's flawless.
- Everyone pays the same price. The number in the listing is the number. We're not running one price for people who push and another for people who don't.
- You check it before you pay. Try it out when we hand it over. If it isn't what we said it was, walk away and owe us nothing. Everything is sold as-is and all sales are final, so we'd rather you be sure.
Where we are
Serving the greater Phoenix metro
Our shop sits near Elliott Road and I-10 in south Phoenix, which puts most of the Valley within easy reach: Phoenix, Tempe, Chandler, Ahwatukee, Mesa, Gilbert, and much of Scottsdale and Glendale. We deliver most larger items free locally.
If you'd rather collect, that's by appointment only. We're a working warehouse rather than a storefront, so there's no walk-in browsing. Message us about a specific item and we'll sort a time, and you'll get the exact address once it's set.
